About GiftDeck
GiftDeck is an independent gift-curation site. The gift finder on the home page filters a hand-curated catalog of gift ideas — and the ideas are deliberately generic, because we believe the value is in the curation and the thinking, not in pushing a particular product at you.
How the catalog is built
- Generic ideas only. Every entry is a category — "insulated travel tumbler", "cooking-class voucher", "weighted blanket" — never a brand, model, or store. We don't take payment for placement in the catalog, and we never will.
- Budget tiers, not prices. Ideas are sorted into broad tiers (under $25 / $25–50 / $50–100 / $100+). We don't quote specific prices, because prices move constantly and stale numbers are worse than none.
- No fake social proof. No invented reviews, no star ratings, no "10,000 happy customers", no fabricated reader quotes. If we haven't seen it, we don't claim it.
- Editorial reasoning. Every idea carries a one-line "why it works" so you can judge the logic, not just the label.
How the guides are written
The guides are original, common-sense frameworks for gifting decisions — how to match a budget tier to an occasion, how to scale a thank-you, how office gift etiquette works. They contain no invented statistics and no manufactured trends; where a guide touches a real-world category (like plants as gifts), the advice stays general and safe by design.
How GiftDeck is funded
Advertising and affiliate links, both disclosed. Some articles carry affiliate cards marked sponsored; if you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That never changes which ideas enter the catalog or how the guides rank advice. Full details on the disclosure page.
The tool is yours to keep
The gift finder runs entirely in your browser — the catalog ships with the page, no accounts, no tracking of your filters, no server round-trips. It works offline once loaded.
